By working together, the U.S. and India could end their overly cautious approach to Myanmar and counter China’s growing dominance in the region, argue Zo Tum Hmung and Billy Ford. #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar bit.ly/3IuHBdP
What the Burmese terrorist Junta has done to the city of Bhamo is as bad as any destruction inflicted by the Assad Regime on Syrian cities. It is akin to the level of destruction we see inflicted on Gaza. They cannot be allowed to do this for every city that resists their terror.
In the last week, Burmese Resistance forces have rapidly captured five of the eight junta bases in the Waw-Lay area of Myawaddy township, with three bases falling in the past few days. Fully clearing this area'd be massive for the Karen Resistance. and I, for one, am here for it.
The Malaysian FM asked reporters in Kuala Lumpur - about the point of having an election in Myanmar "if it is all just a whitewash to cover up the eyes of the international community?" Exactly. I urge ASEAN to stop the whitewash by rejecting the junta's so-called "election".
