Giants Season Tix in family since 1950s, collector of old/new Giants games, went to same high school as Duane Parcells. Boston College Alumnus: Coughlin era.
1989: HBD @CVMath turns 60. One of #NYGiants all time hidden gems in the draft, Riesenberg was a 6th rounder out of Cal in 1987 after converting from DE, he played 9 years at RT on a great NYG OL. He had a big game v All Pro Charles Mann in helping NYG win 20-17
1988: HBD @waynehaddix turns 60. He was an extra DB/special teamer for #NYGiants from 1987-1988. In 1990 w/ Tampa Bay he exploded w/ an All Pro season, picking off 7 passes for 231 yards & 3 TDs. He signed w/ Cincy after that but was out of the league by 1992
1993: HBD @MJax80 turns 62. Known more for his time w/ Denver, Jackson signed as a FA w/ #NYGiants in 1993 & spent 1+ years w/ NYG. He led NYG w/ 58 catches for 708 yards in '93 & scored his 1st NYG TD in season opening win @ Chicago on a flea flicker from @PhilSimmsQB
OTD 46 years ago in 1979, former #NYGiants DE Troy Archer was killed in a car crash before the start of camp. He was a former 1st round pick who had 10.5 sacks in 1977 & was going to be a big part of the young NYG DL. He was only 24.
1990: W/ the start of #NYGiants training camp tomorrow, a reminder how the NYG can use camp to come together for a common goal to win the division. In the 1990 "True Blue" video @PhilSimmsQB & @CarlBanksGIII talked about just that. An aside, I miss going to see them at FDU
Random #NYGiants thing of the day: One of the many iterations of Giants history tapes that I have. This one was from 1988, so it only really went up to Super Bowl XXI. There have been other versions that have been updated over the years, though the first half content is the same

2003: HBD Ian Allen turns 47. Allen, from Newark, NJ signed w/ #NYGiants in 2002 after a stay w/ the Chiefs. He played 2 years for NYG & started 11 games in 2003 as the OL combination was shuffled through the season due to injuries
1970: HBD Kenny Parker turns 78. A Paterson resident, he was #NYGiants 16th round pick in 1968 out of Fordham where he was a basketball player & hadn't played football since high school at Eastside. Injuries limited his career to 3 seasons & 14 games
2005: @EliManning made the leap from Year 1 to Year 2 as #NYGiants added more weapons around him, including signing @plaxicoburress. Here Eli stood in as the rush came free & found Plax for a 17 yard TD in an early season win over the Rams.
Random #NYGiants thing of the day: The classic Giants painters hat! I believe I got this back in 1985 & you see it worn by fans all throughout Giants highlights in the 1980s. Maybe I'll put it on when I go to camp this week...🤔

1977: HBD Larry Mallory turns 73. He joined #NYGiants in 1976 after spending 2 seasons in the WFL & played 3 years for NYG as a DB/special teamer. Here he got a pick to stop a Tampa scoring chance in an ugly, turnover filled 10-0 NYG win
1961: BOTD Larry Hayes. A deep cut, Hayes played 1 season for #NYGiants as a LB/special teamer. In his 1st NFL game in the season opener, he blocked a Cardinals punt & recovered for a TD
2009: HBD @DCarr8 turns 46. Carr was the Houston Texans' 1st draft pick & 1st pick overall in 2002. He joined #NYGiants in 2008 & became one of the top backups in the NFL, playing for NYG thru 2009 & again in 2011-12. Here he scored vs Raiders in 44-7 blowout
2011: HBD Jacquian Williams. One of the great moments in #NYGiants gamesmanship history in 1Q. Rams were driving & NYG were confused on their substitutions. Rather than call a timeout, Fewell signaled for someone to fake an injury. Both Deon Grant & Williams complied 🤣
Random #NYGiants thing of the day: On his birthday here was a photo of Ron Stone from the pages of @GiantInsider in 1997. He was an example of a smart free agent signing, a young player who was blocked at a good team (Dallas) & getting him on the way up rather than just a name

1997: HBD Ron Stone turns 54. One of #NYGiants best FA signings ever, he was plucked off a loaded Dallas OL who couldn't afford him in 1996. He played 6 years for NYG & made 2 Pro Bowls. He helped open a huge hole for Way's TD in NFC East clincher v Redskins
2020: HBD @Cmoe34 who turns 28. Coughlin was drafted in 7th round out of Minnesota in 2020 by #NYGiants & played 4 seasons for NYG as a key special teamer. He registered his 1st career sack vs Tom Brady as a rookie against Tampa Bay
2011: HBD Jacquian Williams turns 37. #NYGiants picked him in 6th round of 2011 draft & he played 4 years as a special teamer/LB. He made one of the biggest plays of the season forcing a fumble in OT, recovered by Devin Thomas setting up @lt4kicks game winner
2000: Another in the popular old ESPN NFL Primetime highlights. Here was the NFC Divisional Round Playoff matchup between #NYGiants & Eagles. Yes, there was a time when Philly fans wondered if they would ever beat the NYG. This was the 3rd time NYG beat them on the year.
Random #NYGiants thing of the day: It's beach weather, so that means you have to bust out the NYG towel. I have a few different ones, but I got this one back in 2021, I think I picked it up at the Fan Fest, or maybe the draft party. I don't remember.
