Beyond GM
@Beyond_GM
Beyond false promises. Beyond failed technology. Beyond a corporate-controlled food system. Beyond gambling with our health. Beyond GM.
Epic media fail. Every major UK media outlet covering GMO deregulation just repeated government talking points that precision bred GMOs are 'natural' & aren't GM at all. Zero critical journalism on blatant corporate spin. DONATE today to #StopHiddenGMOs crowdjustice.com/case/stop-hidd…

Real people. Real voices. Richard is right. Consumers don’t want what GMO developers are selling so government has agreed to demands to hide them in the food system. We’re challenging the government to #StopHiddenGMOs Please DONATE to our legal challenge crowdjustice.com/case/stop-hidd…

Real people. Real voices. Pat’s right. GMOs do come with hidden snags. That’s why the government has taken away the obligation to test for environmental impacts and food safety. To keep them hidden! Donate today to our legal case to #StopHiddenGMOs crowdjustice.com/case/stop-hidd…

Real people. Real voices. Linda is right. The government has kept its plans on the low down. Changing the language from GMOs to PBOs means few realise they’ve lost the right to choose. Donate to our legal challenge to #StopHiddenGMOs crowdjustice.com/case/stop-hidd…

Real people. Real voices. Moyra is right. Lack of transparency in these regulations strikes at the heart of #organic integrity. How can we keep genetically modified PBOs out of organic when they aren't labelled or traceable? #StopHiddenGMOs Donate today: crowdjustice.com/case/stop-hidd…

Thanks @swilson09 at Roots & All podcast for interviewing us about genetically modified PBOs in the garden and our legal challenge to the government about unlabelled #GMO crops, seeds and foods. Check it out! rootsandall.co.uk/podcast/gmos-i…

Legal challenge over #GMO deregulation. @Beyond_GM begins legal action against UK govt, challenging new (de)regulations it believes will allow GMOs to enter the food system and environment without safety testing, labelling or traceability. leighday.co.uk/news/news/2025…
This govt misrepresents facts, ignores scientific definitions and wants to bypass public accountability to push a tech-food agenda at any cost. Result? UNLABELLED genetically engineered food on your plate…. from November 25. Help us stop it in court! crowdjustice.com/case/stop-hidd…
Real people. Real voices. We're 90% funded - thanks to the generosity & determination of supporters like Jonathan here👇💪🎉. We still have a way to go to our first funding target. Can you help push us over the line with room to spare? #StopHiddenGMOs crowdjustice.com/case/stop-hidd…

GMO deregulation won’t fix potato blight. “The deregulation lobby is determined to ignore [the dismal real world experience with #GMO crops] and live in a fantasy land of precision, predictability and imagined safety.” gmwatch.org/en/106-news/la…
In opposition @DanielZeichner said of genetically modified 'precision bred' organisms "Clear labelling is a sensible way forward”. So, as Farming Minister, why did he allow his department to ban labelling? Donate to our legal action today crowdjustice.com/case/stop-hidd… #StopHiddenGMOs

In opposition, Labour was deeply critical of the lack of transparency around #GMO precision-bred organisms. In power, they have ushered in one of the least transparent & most liberal regimes in the world. #StopHiddenGMOs. DONATE to our legal fund now crowdjustice.com/case/stop-hidd…

"Such technology may also create doubt about the provenance of what we grow and lead to a fundamental breach of public trust in our food and farming system." Thanks @wickedleeksmag for picking up on this. wickedleeks.riverford.co.uk/news/help-need…
New legal challenge over "hidden" GMOs in food ▶️ Sustain member @Beyond_GM launches legal action against the UK government over new regulations. Please help support their crowdfunder >> crowdjustice.com/case/stop-hidd…
People who love the idea of a 'circular economy' often fail to see its weak spots, like it requires us to keep producing waste in order to function and can be used to embed a technofix mentality, like out of season GMO strawberries that last longer. That's what's happening here.
4/ Instead “good” = technologically efficient & globally competitive. Look at the ‘end-justifies-the-means’ annexes that define the main pathways to “good food” as: Precision breeding & fermentation (GMOs); Industrial/digital agri-tech; Circular economy tech; Trade liberalisation
David is right. Messing with nature never ends well, yet we keep doing it. These new GMOs were sold to parliament & deregulated based on the lie that they're the same as natural. Let's stop the lies. Let's #StopHiddenGMOs. DONATE to our legal action today crowdjustice.com/case/stop-hidd…
