Single parent Ebony Wood boasts on TikTok she gets get more than £4,000 a month from the govt in social security payments (even though the benefit cap would limit payments to £1,835). Now people have complained and her money has been stopped. birminghammail.co.uk/news/cost-of-l…

🚨BREAKING: Over 80,000 people have now backed my petition calling for the Government to introduce a wealth tax. I'll be handing this in to 10 Downing Street this Tuesday. Add your name below and join the call for the super-rich to pay their fair share. chng.it/2pq56bHC9t
During this years #TolpuddleFestival t-shirts were handed out by @unitetheunion to show solidarity with @Dis_PPL_Protest. There's been times recently when disabled people have felt alone in our struggle so seeing the band heading the march wearing DPAC t-shirts meant a lot.

During the APPG meeting on Disability the subject of conditionality reared its ugly head. Timms said it would be a very different kind of conditionality but, when linked to sanctions, the harm done is exactly the same. The meeting can be watched here: youtu.be/o0k94oKbmwU

I'm devastated to announce the sudden passing of Mabel earlier today. She was my best friend, my will to live and I'm heartbroken. She stood by me when I became disabled, protected me and attacked my abuser, she's been my whole world and now she's gone. I'm so broken.
Mabel is taking a stand against these cruel #DisabilityBenefits cuts. If your pet is against them too they can join in with the tag #PetsAgainstCuts You can bite back here by signing this petition. petition.parliament.uk/petitions/7215… #TakingThePIP #DisabilityRebellion #CripsAgainstCuts
The number of internal reviews into deaths and other harm linked to universal credit nearly doubled last year, according to figures released just hours after ministers pushed through billions of pounds of cuts to part of the working-age benefits system. disabilitynewsservice.com/reviews-into-d…
The @Dis_PPL_Protest stall is going down really well. We've been in another debate and did an open mic. The badges are going down really well. #TolpuddleFestival

I'm at Tolpuddle festival this weekend volunteering for Unite and DPAC. First day has been hot but great for catching up with friends.

#TolpuddleFestival2025 @Dis_PPL_Protest have been invited to have a stall in the Martyrs tent at @TolpuddleFest this year! The stall will be located at the entrance! Come & buy a t-shirt, a tote bag or a badge! @BenClaimant will be on the stall & speaking at a couple of events
Higher inflation, rising unemployment, yet the govt still wants to cut benefits to 'encourage' disabled people into work.
Rachael Maskell says she lost the whip for "standing up for my constituents over welfare" "I believe we're better than that as a party. I believe our strength comes from the back benches. I think it comes from people who are plugged into their constituents"

My heart sinks at the crass stupidity of this.
In June there were 7.9 million people claiming #UniversalCredit. 50% have children and 35% are working. Of those workers who need to claim, 65% are women. gov.uk/government/sta…

I cannot tell you how much this angers me. Last year my husband had a breakdown. Nothing can prepare you for seeing the man you have loved for nearly 20 years turn into an empty shell. He was referred for NHS therapy June last year, he is yet to get his 1st appointment. 1/
