i don’t get why this is such a hard scenario to imagine for some people. like, that’s literally what stunt doubles are for. batgirl wears a mask. camera work exists for this. as a character, oracle is better. she was one of the most important in the dcu and had her own agency.
As a disabled person myself, I almost fully support this. One problem though: Barbra Gordon BECOMES paralyzed. If her actress is actually disabled, how are they going to handle the character pre-paralyzation? You can’t un-disable someone.
