Mm... I think some people can change in a positive way. But, others are too far gone for that change.

In some way, I can agree with that. Some ways.
Few people can accept that mindset. When they don’t, they justify that like “oh this molded me” or “I’ve reached a form of enlightenment”, or perhaps “I was born this way.” But that’s the thoughts of incompetence. The words of a failure.
