Who's your favorite black character here?
Being black
question for whoever sees: are there any aspects of yourself you feel have never been properly represented in media? doesn’t matter what it is, just a trait of yourself you have never seen
would you guys kill me if I said this is exactly how I feel
either I'm high as hell or you can absolutely say the same fucking thing for tom and jerry.
I’m noticing how as soon as the black influence was dropped the series felt more corporate and bland
that and shes POWERFUL both in authority and actual strength, way more than any of the later owners. for better and for worse they put way more effort into her character compared to the edited replacements from tv airings (for obvious reasons, but still)
She was 100 percent the head of household!
As a black kid growing up, I just assumed she was the homeowner as opposed to a maid. They practically treat the character as such in the early '50s shorts ("Saturday Evening Puss"), and she has a level of authority over Tom that the later human characters didn't have.
I FUCKIN LOVE BLACK JOY AND TALENT GOHAED Y'ALL
