This is what a trauma bond looks like.

He never hit me. He just twisted my words, blamed me for his actions, shattered my reality, my self-worth, my faith— and gave me just enough love to keep me hoping. That’s narcissistic abuse. It breaks you without ever leaving a bruise.
Narcissists want to be seen as providers, but in reality, they are withholders.
You should never have to compete for a spot in someone’s life. If you’re not their Plan A, you’re just a pawn. Narcissists keep people as options, not priorities. You deserve more than being someone’s backup plan.
Narcissists don’t just leave out of the blue, they start a fight so they have an excuse to storm out. That way, they can run to their other supply guilt-free,while blaming you for pushing them away.
After the fog cleared, what was the biggest lie you discovered the narcissist told you?
Narcissistic abuse isn’t just “toxic.” It’s calculated: • Love bombs to hook you • Gaslighting to confuse you • Blame-shifting to avoid accountability • Silent treatment to punish you • Smear campaigns to isolate you • No empathy. Only control. No love, just manipulation.
An enabler tells you how to manage the abuse. A real ally helps you recognize it shouldn’t be happening in the first place.
Post-separation abuse is how narcissists maintain control after you leave. They: • Withhold money • Smear your name • Weaponize your children • Drag you through court • Stalk and harass • Use coercion, not communication Leaving doesn’t stop the abuse, it just changes it.
Everything is a competition to a narcissist. You had a bad day? Theirs was worse. You got a promotion? They got a massive raise. You’re proud of something? They’ve already done it—better. They don’t connect. They won’t celebrate you. They will always want to one-up you.
Narcissists don’t evolve, they mirror. New hobby? It’s their new supply’s. New slang? Same source. When their current partner notices the sudden shift and starts asking questions—they’re called crazy, insecure, and controlling. Projection is their favorite defense
Narcissists recruit flying monkeys to help them manipulate and abuse their victims by proxy. The term “flying monkeys” was inspired by the flying monkeys in The Wizard of Oz. The monkeys were sent to do the dirty work for the Wicked Witch of the West.
Father’s Day hits different when the man who was supposed to protect you was the one you needed protection from. If today feels heavy, you’re not alone. My heart is with you.
A narcissist will hold a grudge against you for the things they did.
