Many people lead a more luxurious lifestyle than me. But, I’m totally content with semi retirement. I have my six published books on my shelf, I still write my magazine column, customer editorials and restaurant reviews, I see my grandson regularly, and frequently sit outside.
For some reason this is really hitting home today, and making me feel so emotional. I can’t believe where and how fast those intervening years have gone. Make the most of your every moment.

Well that's odd. 24 hours ago The Westmorland Gazette posted a story about swimmers getting sick while taking part in the Great North Swim on Windermere. Apparently sewage was being dumped into the lake at the time. 1 day later the article has disappeared from their website.…
