Yes to border cops, no to public media? Got it. Congress approved $170 billion for immigration enforcement, incl. $75 billion in new ICE funding. Now, the Senate may approve a budget CUT of $1.1 billion from public broadcasters PBS & NPR. The Senate has until July 18 to vote.

Update: Mario is confirmed to be in Gwinnett custody. The immigration court ordered his release from Stewart detention center and now he’ll be held by local county for charges stemming from his covering the No Kings rally, when police targeted him for streaming the protest.

A judge has granted Mario Guevara’s release on bail. And yet no one can find him. Not his lawyers, advocacy groups, journalists. This is a political prisoner disappearance. Even if temporary — this is absolutely unacceptable.
