I experienced today what I’ve always wanted to. It was a 94ft wide 1.43:1 IMAX screen powered by dual laser GT projectors, projecting a film with some 1.43:1 scenes - looking extremely unreal.

It was absolutely worth waiting for the last show to see Fantastic Four in IMAX after missing the early screenings. The screen expanding to 1.43:1 whenever Galactus appears was breathtaking, and the Excelsior launch sequence was stunning. If you have the chance, see it in IMAX.

Jack Kirby would be smiling knowing they did justice to his creation this time. One thing that might fly under the radar is the film’s incredible pacing, one of the best in CBMs. Loved it.

Show me a better animated movie than this.

The most underrated Marvel movie IMO

The Smurfs franchise has had a rough run with critics, 21% for Smurfs, 14% for Smurfs 2, & 41% . Still, the target audience will likely enjoy it, as it stays true to the spirit of the series. Letting a narrow group define what makes a good G-rated film doesn’t sit right with me.
