As a field, we need to focus on reducing dialytrauma to improve patient outcomes and promote renal recovery in AKI-D. Below are a few future suggestions discussed during #AKIJournalClub on how we can work together as a field to improve research.

Here is a new paradigm the #AKIJournalClub discussed that addresses the challenges met in the care of AKI-D patient. This paradigm better phenotypes patients on dialysis to separate AKI-D patients from ESRD and to train an educate staff on AKI-D and potential for renal recovery.
