“Companies routinely cancel and write off bad investments. Why won’t Mr. Newsom and his Democratic Legislature? Because they fear voters will realize they were conned.” @WSJopinion
From @WSJopinion: California’s bullet train is a model of progressive governance. Trump gave Newsom a perfect opportunity to cut his losses and shift blame. Why didn’t he take it? asks Allysia Finley. on.wsj.com/3UoPMuC

This is what happens when the Governor’s reply guy scrambles into damage control mode and starts tweeting from the bubble. “Business-to-business payment growth”? People are getting buried by costs in his boss’s state.
Three new studies shine a light on California’s economic leadership: 1️⃣ Eight California cities ranked among the 25 fastest-growing for trade between businesses, referred to as business-to-business payments growth, since January 2025 – more than any other state. 2️⃣ Three city…
This need a full investigation. Total crap that @GavinNewsom and his cronies misdirected this money away from actual fire victims.
We've learned that of the $100 million raised at the celebrity "Fire Aid" concert, none actually went to LA fire victims. Instead the money went to nonprofits, many that have nothing to do with fire relief. I've asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to open an investigation.
