Ai "artists" when you tell them to learn how to make art for real
Sometimes we can accidentally bake in rotation values and lose the original orientation of an object in Blender. How do we get the original orientation back? Here's a solution that works quite nicely.
Another great question by @henningsanden on how to easily make a radial array around an object in Blender. Super simple and quick.
Whats the fastest way to make a radial array in Blender? All ways I can find seem to be really hacky. Here's what I want to do. It needs to stay live
Quick honey look, new render inspiration!
Imagine the (roller delayed) possibilities...
Having used 3ds max for over 10 years with a lot of antiquated UI - seeing improvements to ui customisation in blender like this is so nice and refreshing.
Alrighty folks, I have unfortunately been recently laid off. In light of this, I am now currently searching for new opportunities in the gameplay animation space. Please reach out if you or someone you know is looking for 3d animators!
Blender is on a whole different level, in a league of it's own.

You don't need an overly complex scene to create nice renders of your asset. Sometimes, all it takes it just a simple curved plane, a long focal length (80-120mm) and a shallow depth of field (1.8/2/4).

another angle of the Toolgun for @s8box The PCB probably makes no sense and isn't all too visible from a lot of angles, but I thought it was the kind of detail this thing deserved😁
Talking through how I sculpted some details of the Obsidian Blade I created for Rust using Zbrush. Thanks for the question @fritzisonfire !
What's your workflow for doing those grooves/fluting on the obsidian blade?
I don't model in zbrush (I'm not a psychopath) but I do go from blender to zbrush a lot. Blender has got a lot better at handling higher polycounts now so it's feasible to sculpt in blender instead of Zbrush. For those reading this, if blender handles higher polycounts like…
Do you always model in blender then sculpt in something like Zbrush ? I've been trying to model in Zbrush to limit imports/exports but it feels so clunky. Do you sometimes model in Zbrush for starting shapes ?
Still one of my favourite ways in blender to easily distribute repeated objects like screw heads. Just drag and drop from the outliner into the 3d viewport.
