This is very well said. I will support Schotty and wish him incredible success. Aside from the normal trials ahead of him as a first-time head coach... he has two serious impediments in his way in Jerry and Stephen.

I'd absolutely love to be wrong about Schottenheimer and the Dallas Cowboys. But there is no real objective data to support this being a good idea. What's more is the process of how they got here was lazy and not serious or ambitious. The criticism is valid.
