Breaking: A vehicle attempting to cross a bridge with water running over it was swept into the creek behind Lubber Run Park. Five occupants were safety removed from the vehicle. No injuries to firefighters or occupants. Please do not attempt to cross moving water!

Breaking: Units responded to and extinguished multiple vehicles on fire at the intersection of 33rd St S and Crystal Dr. No injuries to firefighters or occupants. Fire Marshals will be investigating the cause.

Lt Weeks participated in a panel of law enforcement leaders, where they shared strategies for protecting communities from explosive threats. The discussion addressed how agencies are adapting to emerging challenges such as drone technology, lone actors, & evolving threat tactics.

We are proud to recognize our valuable partnership with @ReadyArlington Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). 🎉 Thanks to ACFD and CERT instructors, nearly 60 community volunteers successfully completed their CERT basic training in 2025.



Our #Hands2Hearts team was at W&L HS training @APSVirginia summer students the life saving skill of hands only CPR!


We were honored to join HACAN’s 2025 STAR Youth Summit, where Firefighters Leah Martinez and Alex Vasquez connected with students, shared their stories, and helped inspire future leaders. The energy was incredible, and the students’ positive feedback meant the world to us.




Breaking: Units responded to the a flash fire in a building under construction on the 2000 block of Crystal Dr. No active fire or dangers to the public. One patient being treated & transported to Medstar with life-threatening injuries. Fire Marshals are investigating the cause.
