The past eight years have been the hottest recorded in history ,and sea levels have risen more with the number of extreme weather events quadrupled over the last 10 years . How many more records must be broken before climate action #ClimateCatastrophe #ClimateWeekNYC #AACAC24

Thank you @Fridays4FutureU for dropping by @stkizitoschools for a study tour. Our gates are always open for fellow climate champions.
Today, our mentees from the #YouthClimateMentorshipProgram engaged in an onsite learning session at St. Kizito High School, Namugongo—a pioneer in climate education! This school has fully integrated #ClimateEducation into its curriculum, empowering students to lead in…
Let's all go recycle reuse ,and reform to reduce the quantity of plastics
#zerowaste
At @stkizitoschools, leftover student food doesn’t go to waste , it’s recycled into fish feed for their aquaculture project! 🐟 From the plate ➡️ to the pond 🌊 Teaching zero waste, circular thinking and climate-smart farming #climateTech #ClimateCrisis @Fridays4FutureU
Empowering women with clean cooking solutions Today, we explored energy efficient technologies that protect our health, save time, and preserve our environment.Clean cooking is not just a choice it’s a right. #ChampioningCleanCooking #WomenInEnergy @G4ClimateAction @MemprowGirls
Happy o have hosted you @stkizitoschools . Our hope is that you share what you learn with as many youth out there as possible.
With #ClimateCrisis challenges rising what we teach , how we teach matters , @stkizitoschools is a perfect example where students grow crops using no soil , 90% lesser water and AI powered systems to monitor crops in real time this Local #education with global impact
Transforming Waste into Wealth 🌟Let's shift from destruction to abundance. Discover innovative projects that turn waste into wonder eg briquette making, fishery fed by recycled waste, artifacts from plastics, hydroponic system. @stkizitoschools @Fridays4FutureU #ClimateAction.
We are the generation of change makers. We stand and learn each day about climate justice and resilience in an era so diseased with toxins, we strive to be better climate justice warriors 💚💪✅. Thanks to @stkizitoschools @BryanKaks @LugandaDavid @Fridays4FutureU for the exposure
Today at @namungongo65399, I saw students turning sunlight into power and classrooms into hubs of innovation. ♻️ Repurposing plastic waste, ☀️ harnessing clean energy solutions and🌱 growing food through hydroponics and urban gardens. Integrating #ClimateEducation is a NECESSITY.

Did you know students can turn plant waste into cooking fuel? At this school , students make briquettes from plant remains (biochar), cassava flour & molasses ,dried under UV sheets & sold as clean fuel. No firewood used at school! #CleanEnergy
As part of our at @Fridays4FutureU we visited @stkizitoschools where students manage hydroponics farms using AI to grow #clean food , sensors to track PH, Adjust temperature, optimise nutrient flow, and the #climate around the plants #climateTech

We saw another amazing thing , students making their own furniture using construction waste like old plywood! Talk about resourcefulness, sustainability, and hands-on skills. These are life skills that go beyond the classroom. #GreenInnovations #SkillBuilding @Fridays4FutureU
The students are recycling plastic waste into incredible art! 🐘🦓 From paper and polythene, they made zoo animals, proving how creativity can turn waste into wonders. A strong message that nothing is ever truly “waste” in a circular economy. #Recycling
Although we've planted & grown fruits, ornamental & indigenous trees. My worried is the rate at which tree harvester are cutting these trees for timber, briquettes, firewood. A tree 20 years old can disappear in only 1 hour😭. #United4ClimateJustice #StopFossilFuelsSubsidies #Trees
Yesterday at @namungongo65399, we witnessed an innovative hydroponics system managed by students! This soil-less farming method ensures proper water supply, pH, and temperature regulation a smart way to grow food sustainably even in limited space. #ClimateSmartFarming

Looking to upscale the use of biochar in briquette production. Witnessed large-scale production and sun drying of over 5,000 briquettes. Big thanks to @LugandaDavid , @Fridays4FutureU, & Mr.Brian for highlights and steps shared exciting potential for cleaner energy solutions.
Grateful to #AWF & #WOJI for empowering young climate champions. Now, we call on governments, organizations, and communities to join hands with us! 🌎 Let's work together to create a massive impact and empower every school, every child, and region to rise up for climate action.
