The “who founded America” discussion doesn’t work because 99% of Americans think all of America started exclusively in New England. They do not take into account the Virginian yeoman, the deep South plantation owners & slaves, the mission builders or the pioneers of the West.
I always have this discussion each year with my kids, the ONLY places who get a pass to set out holiday stuff early are craft stores because you have to plan ahead to create DYI seasonal decor.
