Babies & children have high nutritional requirements per kg of body weight. Far far higher than adults. They're growing & developing rapidly. At the same time, they have minimal energy stores. Hardly any glycogen & fat stores which they can turn to in starvation.
Acknowledging history, knowing what actually happened, diversifying the opinions that you read, looking at primary source evidence for yourself, and challenging preconceived beliefs is critical to fighting fascism. We can fight better when we understand history. 8/8
None of these skeptical claims are actually about skepticism. The basis of all criticism of Palestine is racism. Arguing technicalities is meaningless because they're all just the outward face of and justification for that racism. Get rid of one, and they'll look for another.
Also, the mom could have lost a good percentage of her weight and still look plump in the face, but her weight loss could mean she can't produce milk. Children are naturally thinner for the most part, and don't have a fat layer to live on if they don't eat regularly.
The dehumanisation has truly reached peak levels, as well demonstrated in this comment thread too. We would not have tried to converse with Nazis in the 30s/40s. Don't give the gross zionist fascists any oxygen.
Well fed mom can breast feed the child. But maybe propaganda is better?
“Oh well the mom looks well fed so why is the baby starving” 🤡 Babies under 6 months do not eat food. When you starve a population, babies under 6months die first because if mom can’t produce enough milk, without formula baby dies. Crazy how many people don’t understand this.
horrible for her if real but kinda a clever way to find out if someone uses your bathroom. the temptation to pop on and weigh yourself “just for fun” is probably strong for some people
1/25 Well I am now firmly on team Epstein didn’t kill himself after the mistakes they made in this release. Let’s break it down: 1) This 10 hour video does not show Epstein’s cell. It is across the entire hall from Epstein’s section. We can see that in the attached image.
BREAKING: DOJ releases 10+ hours-long surveillance footage they say proves no one entered Jeffrey Epstein's cell prior to his death FULL VIDEO: justice.gov/video-files/vi…
Trump must be so honored to be nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize from a war criminal carrying out a genocide
One of the finest documentaries I have seen in a while: “Crip Camp” now on Netflix and Youtube, true story of the people and their work that made the ADA legislation become law. We are still in process of implementing while gov is dismantling progress.
@Nicole_Lee_Sch this is so generous, so powerful, & it truly feels hope-giving & energizing 2 read this thread, & review the lists & ur comments. This is why I feel like it's a significant act of defiance, of strength, of potential that some of us are staying on here. My thx 2 u!
Cool except historically scientists have always used the sciences to promote their own power. Hence scientific racism, misogyny, and eugenics. Im all for vaccines, germ theory, and medical interventions but lets not pretend scientists have objectively always been right

As a first-gen individual from a working class family, access to scholarly works and diverse histories radically transformed my thinking about myself, my power, and my place in the world. I wish college were free, but alas powerful people do not want a learned proletariat. 6/8
And if you want to learn about how academia rests on histories of disablement, check out the reading list I'm using to inform a new course I'm teaching this spring: docs.google.com/document/d/1uF… 5/8
If you want to take a scholarly dive into disability history after using the resources above, I have an (admittedly outdated, but still useful) reading list with scholarly articles and books: docs.google.com/document/d/1uk… 4/8
If you want to learn about human rights and resistance in the 19th century - to learn from union workers, women's rights advocates, abolitionists I have a list of archives, resources, podcasts, videos, and scholarly works at: docs.google.com/document/d/15h… 3/8
Over the past year I've compiled a bunch of resources so you can engage in that intellectual work. If you want to learn more about disability history, I have a list with films, podcasts, online articles, and scholarly works at: docs.google.com/document/d/1xj… 2/8
