Curt Cignetti (representing the Big Ten) and Diego Pavia (representing the SEC) need to call into next year’s Smackoff and have it out
Curt Cignetti, asked about Indiana dropping tough non-conference games, comes armed with data about all the FCS teams the SEC plays, with 8 league games instead of 9. “We just figured we’d adopt an SEC scheduling format.”

I don’t believe what I just saw
This Dodgers bullpen ride is not fun
I can confirm that the College Sports Commission has reached a deal with House attorneys, and collectives will now be treated the same as any other business by NIL Go. Their deals will still be subject to "range of compensation." First reported by @RossDellenger.
I was wondering when this shifted. Did the Big Ten get robbed of bids last year or something?
Turning the selection committee into some sort of villain is one of the most confounding sudden trends in college football I can remember. Except for Florida State folks. With you, I get it.
It's wild we're 100 games into the season and only one player in the NL is hitting above .300
Will Smith added a solo shot here in the fourth inning. He entered today with a 28-point advantage in the NL batting race.
Tulane QB room has had a fascinating past seven, eight months
SOURCE: Former BYU QB Jake Retzlaff is expected to transfer to Tulane. He led the Cougars to an 11-2 season in 2024 but left BYU after being informed he would have to serve a 7-game suspension for violating the school's Honor Code.
Sunday read: It’s really difficult trying to rank all 136 FBS starting quarterbacks. @skhanjr and I talked to 40-plus college coaches and staffers and gave it a shot. Introducing @TheAthletic’s College QB Tiers. nytimes.com/athletic/64837…
Spent all of June watching and talking quarterbacks. It was exhausting but fun to dive deep on all the FBS. The end result: @TheAthletic's first-ever College QB Tiers with @skhanjr, ranking all 136 FBS starting QBs w/ input from 40+ coaches and staffers nytimes.com/athletic/64837…

And they said Dan Mullen couldn’t get 5-stars
UNLV is an incredible "remember some guys" roster. Alex Orji, Anthony Colandrea, JoJo Earle, Troy Omeire, Var'keyes Gumms, Tunmise Adeleye, Denver Harris, Justin Flowe, Emeka Megwa...

Craig Kimbrel was more reliable than this
beginning to think this is the real Tanner Scott. Not sure who that was that closed out Saturday's game
The 16 Ls in 17 games back in 2017 would’ve crushed them
One thing this losing streak has taught me is some of the new fans would not have survived FOX and McCourt.
This would happen in last year’s game too. I hate it.
I really love in CFB 26 when the game comes down the wire and players get hurt every play so the CPU never has to use timeouts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My early video game tales this year that you can bank on later: Washington is extremely fun to play with and Louisville has the pieces
I’ve done my own research and have arrived at the conclusion that the Cam Skattebo wildcat package in Arizona State’s playbook in CFB25 is truly special.
🗣️ We asked Big 12 coaches what they really think of Texas Tech's big spending on players. "Hell, if I had Cody Campbell, I’d be doing sleepovers at his house." "If they don’t win the Big 12, holy cow." A lot more here: nytimes.com/athletic/64860…
