And as always it was great to hear @KateGQuinlan summarise the amazing work that the lab has done over the years π§βπ¬ super clear presentation!
I'm having a great time at @ANZOS_Society 2024 hearing about all aspects of basic science, public health, and clinical research in obesity! Thanks to the organisers for the opportunity to talk and for all the wonderful questions and ideas I've received!

Cuttlefish and seahorses and jellyfish, oh my! I had a great time hanging out with the lab at the @bmh2024Melb conference social event at @melbaquarium last night. We even saw Pesto, the huge baby penguin! Itβs a bit sad that the conference is almost over! @unswbabs
I had a great time telling the story of titin, muscle disorders, and CRISPR activation at #BMH2024 today. Thank you @bmh2024Melb for the amazing opportunity to present to a group of very talented scientists in the gene editing field!
Congratulations to @AntheaLee12 on her beautiful talk at @bmh2024Melb as part of Gene Editing Day! @UNSWBABS
Super impressed with the variety of #research and calibre of everyone's presentations @UNSWGRS #3MT competition tonight! What a great challenge to be a part of. Congrats to all the finalists and winners π #PhD #UNSW
Tonight Iβm at the @UNSWGRS 3 Minute Thesis Finals & am very proud of @AntheaLee12 who did a wonderful job presenting her PhD project in just 3 minutes! Thank you for being a great ambassador for the lab & the excellent cohort of @UNSWBABS PhD candidates, Anthea! π€π» for the win!
Fantastic to hear about Anthea Lee's #PhD research to develop improved gene therapies for patients with titinopathy #UNSW @UNSWScience @AntheaLee12 #research
Fascinating talk by @Avnika_R about how ageing impacts muscles and lipid metabolism, using African killifish as a model organism. Why does ageing reverse in these fish (and other creatures!) when they reach late life? A research journey to keep an eye on π @Genetics2023 #ICG2023

Titin: more than a myth or a moon. This protein is essential for your muscles to function. If you're interested in how we could help muscle disease patients who don't have enough titin, have a chat with me at poster 396 now and on Friday! @Genetics2023 #ICG2023

It was a fun challenge condensing a TITINic topic π into a bite-sized piece in the @UNSWScience 1MT competition today! Thank you for the prize, and a huge congratulations to all the other amazing speakers!
Today, @MahdiHaddad_, @MichaelODear & @AntheaLee12 from our team competed in the @UNSWScience 1 minute thesis competition, communicating their PhD research in just 1 minute! @MichaelODear won best @UNSWBABS presentation & @AntheaLee12 was 1 of 3 best overall! Well done all!
Iβm happy to be attending the @TheASMR1 NSW Scientific Meeting today #ASMRNSWASM2023. Weβve got great lab representation, with @MahdiHaddad_ & @AntheaLee12 having just presented their posters & @AnnalisePsaila & @MichaelODear presenting talks in the next session! @UNSWBABS
It was exciting (and nerve-wracking!) to present my first ever poster today at #combio2022! Thanks to everyone who talked to me about my project on eosinophils and beige fat in humans π₯

I did my first conference presentation on my research on eosinophils in beige fat today at #ASMRMRW2022! Thanks @TheASMR1 for the exciting opportunity π @UNSWBABS

That's a wrap on five years at UNSWπnow only another four more to go! Huge thanks to the awesome @CrossleyLab crew for all their support along the way π
