There haven’t been any anti-Zelensky protests since the Russian full-scale invasion of 2022, as the Ukrainian society realized that to survive it must stay united. Today’s move, unless reversed, is likely to change that. Soldiers on the front are particularly infuriated.
It’s no exaggeration that Ukrainian public opinion is in an absolute firestorm after the parliament today approved a law essentially dismantling independent anti-corruption agencies, just days after SBU raided key investigators. The law isn’t enacted until Zelensky signs it — and…
Interesting.
❗️Of the 27 EU member states, only two countries have fully independent anti-corruption bodies. All others are subordinate to either the government or the prosecutor general, or are integrated into the prosecution system,
I have the most horrendous headache, and the cat doesn't leave me alone all morning...I hope I'm not about to drop dead 🙃 🤞

"I hope one day we learn the details." Why one day? Why not today? Let's learn all the details as you are the one who has all the power to do that.
Trump claimed Ukraine may not have used all U.S. aid as intended. “Biden gave $350 billion in gear and cash—not just equipment, but actual cash. I hope one day we learn the details. I have a feeling not every dollar was spent properly,” he said.
This is not enough. The anti-corruption system should be able to work without anyone's influence, not just russian. If it fails, reform is needed. But reform should be communicated to civil society & explained CLEARLY. Laws written overnight and passed the next day will not do.
⚡️ Zelenskyy: Ukraine’s anti-corruption system will work “only without Russian influence.” He spoke with NABU chief Kryvonos, SAPO head Klymenko, Prosecutor General Kravchenko, and SBU chief Maliuk.
This needs a nice, clear community note because Marge is a dummy and a liar.
Huge protests erupt in Kyiv against Ukrainian President Zelensky as he is a dictator and refuses to make a peace deal and end the war. Good for the Ukrainian people! Throw him out of office! And America must STOP funding and sending weapons!!!
Up to this point, we approached any wartime restrictions, limitations, or legislative peculiarities with understanding. But Ukrainians feel acutely and instinctively when the line into authoritarianism may be crossed. Today was that day, but there's still time to step back.
Protesters gathered in Ukrainian cities on July 22 in response to a bill passed by Ukraine's parliament that strips anti-corruption bodies of their independence.
🖤 Rest in Power, Ozzy 🖤 Today we lost one of the wildest souls to ever walk this Earth. Ozzy wasn't just The Prince of Darkness, he was pure light to those of us lucky enough to meet him. A heart bigger than any stage he ever rocked. My heart goes out to Sharon and the Kids.…
It's a bad day overall... goodbye Prince of Darkness
Ozzy Osbourne has passed away at the age of 76.
How bad is the reaction to this new law in Ukrainian social media? People are openly calling for demonstrations - not anonymous bots, but relatively well-known figures. It’s the first time I’ve seen such an idea gain support. Not a good sign for Zelensky's administration
Civil society across the whole political spectrum overwhelmingly opposes this move. Now we wait if Zelenskyy signs it. If he does, he's done.
⚡️ BREAKING: Ukraine's parliament passes bill destroying independence of key anti-corruption bodies. The bill was passed with the support of 263 lawmakers, while 13 voted against it and 13 abstained. kyivindependent.com/bill-subordina…
Call Ukrainians warmongers once again.
Kremlin dismisses hopes for breakthrough in Ukraine peace talks, says no grounds for negotiations.
Why are Ukrainians so reluctant to get occupied by russia? Because that's what happens to you if you express any kind of pro-Ukraine sentiment on the occupied territories - you get detained, tortured, dissappeared and murdered.
The oldest civilian prisoner, 74-year-old Oleksandr Markov, has died in russian captivity. He was arrested in Enerhodar in May 2024, and in March 2025, the occupying authorities sentenced him to 14 years in prison for “treason.” Oleksandr died on June 26 while being transferred…
Russia plans to spend about $1.1 trillion on rearmament by 2036 and if someone thinks this money will be spent exclusively for the war in Ukraine, they're gravely mistaken.
