I wrote about my obsession with Marco Pierre White, in this week’s issue of The Spectator. spectator.co.uk/article/my-mar…

I had the surreal experience of interviewing Curtis Yarvin while this profile was being written of him. ‘The New Yorker are somewhere here’, he purred. You can watch it here if you like 👉youtube.com/watch?v=YIYCRw…
Here’s the Jaw-dropping story everyone from Silicon Valley to Washington is talking about: Curtis Yarvin’s Plot Against America | The New Yorker newyorker.com/magazine/2025/…
Lou Reed was the opposite of ‘effortlessly cool’. He was desperate. Half the lyrics on Velvet Underground & Nico can be boiled down to ‘do you get the message, I take heroin’. Also, Venus in Furs is a ridiculously cringe listen, and a 15 year old would be embarrassed to write it.
Lou Reed was always just effortlessly cool
Interesting to read that the new owners of the Regency Cafe in Westminster will explore halal options. I wrote about why several restaurants, whose cuisine isn’t typically halal, are choosing to do this a couple of week’s ago in The Spectator 👇 spectator.co.uk/article/is-you…

I like Dominic Sandbrook’s Diary in this week’s mag spectator.co.uk/article/britai…
Why I feel sorry for Rachel Reeves 👇 spectator.co.uk/article/i-feel…
I interviewed Adam Curtis, and we talked about revolutions, his TikTok account, and HR. spectator.co.uk/article/adam-c…

RIP William Langewiesche. Didn’t see that he’d died. His cover story on MH370 from 2019 is haunting and brilliant. theatlantic.com/magazine/archi…

My first Spectator piece: * The inside story of how the govt is dealing with Iran * Starmer’s hands tied by Hermer’s legal advice * What Labour’s national security strategy next week will say and why Labour MPs might not like it spectator.co.uk/article/starme…
RIP Brian Wilson. Obviously, a genius. But few things more suspicious than someone being _really_ into the Beach Boys.
Rachel Reeves bumps up against red tape as the latest victim of the Two Chairmen’s ‘get off the road’ policy.

"Abundance, co-authored by Klein and Derek Thompson, is the old juicebox mafia’s definitive statement to the world in the second Trump era. It is part manifesto, part jeremiad, part postmortem of the failed restoration of 2021-24." ✍️ Travis Aaroe trib.al/Xno9mAM
I love reading and I love advice about how to read. For a while I have been meaning to get round to writing my own reading guide. I finally wrote this about how to read, what to read and why. Link below
