Whatever term you want to use, J6 was an effort to use violence or the threat of violence to prevent Congress from certifying an election and delaying or stopping a transition. Congress was literally forced to adjourn and evacuate for safety.

Every J6 defendant had due process in federal court, with access to lawyers, trials, and the chance to review evidence. Court records are public and show that even those who committed nonviolent crimes got hearings before any punishment.

Whatever term you prefer, J6 was an effort that used violence or the threat of violence to delay or stop Congress from executing the law and certifying the election result. That's illegal and wrong.

As we've shared before, breaching the Capitol building and forcing Congress to adjourn and evacuate for safety is a big deal. Let's not make excuses for what happened that day.

It is possible but VERY unlikely that Trump will compensate the J6 rioters for their loyalty to him.

That's how tariffs work. It's an import tax that makes imported goods (and everything that depends on imported goods) more expensive. If an imported item costs $100 and a 20% tariff is added, that item now costs $120.

What should the consequences be for a county recorder who deliberately and intentionally violates the oath of office, doesn't keep election equipment secure, and disables video cameras to cover up the crime?

Nobody has a constitutional right to physically breach the Capitol, assault officers, threaten Congress, and force Congress to adjourn and flee for their lives.

This is the United States of America, not some third-world dictatorship. The FBI executed the search warrant at Mar-A-Lago because Trump was not complying with orders to return classified government property after he left office.
