“The left has not only commandeered the dictionary, redefining words as it sees fit. But it has also become the arbiter of manners and politeness, ostracizing those who refuse to repeat its fine-sounding lies.” —@Joe_Rigney | wng.org/opinions/fine-…
Apparently conservatism now means standing athwart history, yelling, "But he/she is a good economist!" My latest at @WNGdotorg on the predictable "migration" of David French & his ilk to the next phase of the sexual revolution: joining in the basic tranny lie. Link below.
Here is a piece I contributed for @WNGdotorg about seminary education: wng.org/opinions/for-t….
In John MacArthur's final moments, he was quoting 1 Corinthians 15: “O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?" In between gasps for air, he said, “I feel no sting. I feel no fear.” —See @MikeRiccardi_, 1:14:13, thegracelifepulpit.com/sermons.aspx?c… Life goal: Die well.
This photo is from our honeymoon 21 years ago (Sunday morning, July 18, 2004). We drove from San Diego to LA to hear John MacArthur preach the first sermon we heard together as a married couple. I thank God for MacArthur's expository preaching. Formative.
John MacArthur's influence in my life was inestimable. He was a precious mentor & friend for nearly 45 years. In the pulpit he was fierce, forceful, and full of earnest courage. In person, he was kind and gentle. This is a painful loss for the church; glorious triumph for John.
Our hearts are heavy, yet rejoicing, as we share the news that our beloved pastor and teacher John MacArthur has entered into the presence of the Savior. This evening, his faith became sight. He faithfully endured until his race was run. 2 Timothy 4:1-8
Incredibly grateful to God for the life and ministry of John MacArthur. Shortly after my conversion I listened to his two-part series on the sufficiency of Scripture and it rocked my world (gty.org/library/topica…). What a gift. Picture of the Pastors Johns from the March 2024…

On the @WNGdotorg podcast this morning, there's an informative 11-minute report on how a church security team in Michigan recently stopped a gunman who intended to commit a mass shooting. Audio + transcript here: wng.org/podcasts/evil-…
Honored to write again for COA 👇🏻 I draw on insights from @AndyNaselli, @joe_rigney, @RevKevDeYoung and the 2005 version of Russ Moore to address contrasting articles by @aaron_renn and @DennyBurk. Fun times 😎
“There is a form of complementarianism that is dying. . . and it is dying because it is sub-biblical, illogical, and contrary to the consensus of church history.” ~@dougponder christoverall.com/article/longfo…

Joe Rigney responds to 6 criticisms about empathy from Alastair Roberts and/or Dani Treweek. Typical Joe: clear, sober-minded, reasonable, and tethered to both special and natural revelation.
We're back with @joe_rigney today to talk about empathy again. Joe defends his ideas from critics @zugzwanged and @danitreweek in today's installment. Check out the full article in the reply.

In the member covenant of Christ the King Church, we commit “to encourage fathers to bring up their children with a Christian education and enculturation.” I coauthored this letter with my fellow pastors re Christian enculturation and government schools: christtheking.build/blog/2025/04/2…
