(Janet) It's rained recently but it wasn't enough, everywhere is still really dry. It's almost time for Followers Day and I know that Betty and Pip are hoping it doesn't rain on that day. I'll be watching it from a distance. I wonder if anyone will see me?

(Amanda) Betty thinks I look a bit puzzled in this photos. I've never heard that word before but she said it means 'surprised'. Actually, I wasn't surprised at all, I thought it was just my normal face. Humans seem to see things differently to us cats.

(Amanda) I want to show you what Colin is growing in a greenhouse on his plot. The tomatoes have done really well this year and he's happy with them. I've never eaten one but I've heard that many dogs love them. Do you like them? Have you ever grown them?

(Amanda) I got a bit fed up of scratching tyres so I tried something different. I quite liked it. It made my claws nice and sharp. Betty wasn't impressed. She said my claws are sharp enough and she has the scars to prove it. She's too fussy, I don't scratch her on purpose.

(Amanda) Sometimes I look back to the time when I first arrived here and I didn't know anybody. It didn't take long to realise that I'd chosen a good place to live. The humans are friendly and give me lots of fuss, and food. What more could I want?

(Amanda) Colin took this photo of me relaxing on some plastic mesh. When Betty saw it she thought she could see a face on the mesh, just above me . Can you see it? I think her eyes are playing tricks on her. Or maybe there really is a face there, who knows?

(Amanda) It was a bit cooler yesterday. Betty told me that the weather forecast is for the heatwave to come back. I don't understand how weather forecasts work but they are usually right, aren't they? I can't do anything to change the weather so I'll just put up with it.

(Amanda) I had a difficult decision at breakfast time - fresh chicken or cat food. Can you guess which I chose? That's right, I chose both of them! Sammy had brought the chicken and I didn't want to upset her and Colin had opened one of my pouches. It was a win win situation.

(Amanda) I've got a wonderful Primordial Pouch haven't I! Betty didn't know what it was until she asked about it here. I could have told her it was normal, but she didn't ask me. I think it looks quite nice, what do you think?

(Amanda) I want to show you these funny things that Colin grew on his plot. They are called 'Runner Beans' but I haven't seen them running anywhere. They are supposed to taste really nice. I wonder if Betty would cook some and let me taste them? Have you ever tried them?

(Amanda) Betty thinks I look a bit surprised in this photo. I don't think I was, it was just my normal face. She gets these weird ideas from time to time.

(Amanda) It was quite cool on this plot yesterday. The human had watered everywhere and the damp soil was so nice and fresh. He grows flowers called 'Dahlias' on this plot and vegetables on another. Betty and Colin are coming early this morning, before it gets too hot.

(Amanda) My Nip plant has a strange effect on me. It makes me dribble, which doesn't look very nice in photos. I don't really eat much of it but the smell is enough to start the dribbles. Betty says it's also called 'mouth-watering' but I think dribble is a nicer word.

(Amanda) Aunty Penny knit these beautiful blankets - aren't they lovely! Betty is going to sell them on Followers Day to raise money for our vet fund. It's wonderful that humans can do knitting, I don't think any cats can do it, can they?

This is from our friends at Cats pf Birmingham - it sounds really good!

(Amanda) Sorry that I'm a little bit late this morning, but it wasn't my fault. I've only just seen Betty. She told me she'd had a new computer and it had taken time to set up. I haven't got a clue what that means, but she looks happy and I'm glad. Ancient humans are weird.

(Janet) There are lots of plants growing on my plot now. They are called Sweetcorn. They usually grow very tall but the weather has been very dry and they are not doing well. The human who uses my plot works hard but it all depends on the weather. We need some rain.
