You realize, of course, that wiping out the seats is going to jack up the prices even more, right? Anybody who’s ever taken an economics class can tell you what happens to price when supply decreases. Fans who have been going to games for decades are going to get priced out.

Here’s the thing. It’s not insane to think Florida starts 2-4. Yeah, that’s a doomsday scenario, but it’s not crazy. Two preseason games. Then: @ LSU, @ Miami, Texas, @ Texas A&M. 3 of those 4 teams beat Florida in 2024 and the fourth was unranked Florida upsetting ranked LSU.

The O’Dome used to be electric. And then UF “modernized” the arena, screwed up the student section, and wiped out thousands of seats. I’m warning y’all, Scott Stricklin is going to do the exact same thing to Ben Hill Griffin Stadium… except much, much worse.

This is disgusting and the fanbase does not deserve this. Stadiums like this are cathedrals for noise/energy and just flat out debauchery among students and fanatics. The gentrification of traditional college stadiums is such a loser part of this new era of CFB
