The 8th century Ormside Bowl. Made from gilded silver and bronze, it possibly originated from Northumbria. Found in 1823 at St. James’ Churchyard, Great Ormside, Cumbria, it was probably Viking plunder. Part of the collections at the #YorkshireMuseum 📷 My own. #FindsFriday
