Paper alert! We have uploaded a new version of our preprint, where @Alexgoedderz meta-analyzed 17 replications of Hahn et al.’s (2014) IAT score prediction paradigm. (1/4) osf.io/preprints/psya… @zah_ra_hmani #implicitbias #racialbias #unconsciousbias #implicitmeasures #IAT
Are people aware of their implicit biases? A paper by @AdamHahn_Psych (2014) suggested yes by showing that people accurately predicted their pattern of IAT scores. But is this effect replicable and does it hold across different settings and samples? psyarxiv.com/frwcy/ (1/5)
This was the first project @AdamHahn_Psych and I worked on together during my internship. Later I started as his PhD student and wrote my thesis about the framework that motivated these studies. I guess it's safe to say that this research is what got me excited about research. 🥳
Very proud to see our first data paper on the difference between being aware of your biases and calibrating them in line with social norms finally published at PSPB, spearheaded by my former PhD student @Alexgoedderz @SocCulCog_Bath #implicitbias journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/01…
Ever wondered what an IAT on bread would look like? This is your chance to find out! @AdamHahn_Psych and my paper on awareness and calibration in IAT score predictions is finally in press @SocialPsychBull. What does it have to do with bread? Find out here: osf.io/preprints/psya…

Incredibly honoured to support @africanofilter in their work to change narratives of Africa with my research; and incredibly honoured to participate in this panel discussion in #Nairobi at their #AsWeAre summit with my collaborator and friend @Wacera_K.
@africanofilter summit | 2nd panel « Don’t fight stereotypes & harmful narratives. Give people counter stereotypes…ᴛᴇʟʟ ᴀ ɴᴇᴡ ꜱᴛᴏʀʏ 🔥 » @AdamHahn_Psych - Senior lecturer at Bath University. #Asweare | @Wacera_K
Off to discussing stereotypes and prejudice about Africa and Africans in #Kenya with @Wacera_K and @mokymakura from @africanofilter -the most meaningful work I have done in a while.
Join me in congratulating my incredibly talented PhD student @Alexgoedderz for successfully defending her PhD dissertation yesterday (and me for my first PhD student successfully trained from start to finish) 🥳 #implicitbias #socialcognition #PhD #advisorpride
Happy to share that I successfully defended my PhD yesterday. I am immensely grateful for everything I learned along the way and the amazing support of my supervisor @AdamHahn_Psych as well as all the fantastic colleagues and friends who made this a time to remember! #phdone

Thanks for a great conference @DevEngageLab bringing together academics, practitioners, and politicians on the issue of development cooperation. It was a pleasure presenting recent data on German feminist development policy on this fantastic panel on gender issues #DevEngage2023
Thanks again to the amazing colleagues on "my" panel. It was so insightful to discuss together with you. My key take away remains to be: If we achieve #SDG5 we will achieve all #SDGs. So let's focus on that! Thanks @J_A_Hudson @profdavidhudson for the opportunity #DevEngage2023
