edfringe.com/tickets/whats-… There seem to be a number of ancient-themed shows taking place in this year's @edinburghfest! One that might appeal to many w/in the Classics community is this humorous take on the beloved Ecce Romani series! On in the mornings at the start of Aug!
I was delighted to be elected a Fellow of @RoyalHistSoc! As someone trying to maintain a research profile without being paid for it, it's gratifying to be recognised for contributions to scholarship. I hope this will open new doors for me in my outreach work as much as research.

Home from #CA2025 & reflecting on a great time. Attended every session & could've gone to more on top! Some big discussions about the future of the discipline & reminders of the vitality within Scottish Classics. Dum spiro spero!

An excellent first day at #CA2025, with more to look forward to tomorrow!

It has been a great first day at #ca2025, talking in panels and chatting to old friends and new faces. If you would like to find out more about our efforts in Scotland, then don't hesitate to grab me and say hello!
Great to be up in St Andrew's @Classical_Assoc conference #CA2025 supporting the great work of our Scotland Network Coordinator @AlexImrie23 @CAScotia - joined by trustee and CA Chair @JudithMossman2

Early start this morning to get over to the Younger Hall for registration opening in the Classical Association Conference 2025! Taking a bit of time on the @classicsforall table (come and say hello!) before the proceedings kick off in earnest. #ca2025 #classics #conference

It’s a beautiful morning here at @StA_Classics as we prepare to open @StAConf25 for delegates - see you at the Younger Hall this morning for registration before the first panels commence at 12 noon! #CA2025
Papers done and packing almost complete for #CA2025. Might be packing a couple ancient-themed games in case any delegates find themselves at a loose end on Friday night! Counts as work, right?! 🤣 (And yes, I'm aware of the Greek script being butchered on the 'Elysium' box!)

Had a great night at @RoyalArmouries with @classicsforall, celebrating our annual Impact Awards. I was proud to celebrate Emma Noble from @stambrosehigh, whose stellar work in growing Classical Studies there is emblematic of the powerful impact teachers can have on their pupils!

Took possession today of some old ledgers relating to the @CAScotia. For being books of lists & payments, they're really beautiful (some v. elegant penmanship!) It has also been interesting seeing the health of national membership of the CAS over 100 yrs ago.

Next stop today: @KirktonholmePS to chat to the P3s about the Romans, and teachers about opportunities for classical subjects at different primary stages.

Early morning drive westwards representing @classicsforall. Visited @WilliamwoodHS, and talked to a wonderful History teacher about introducing Classical Studies. Exciting times ahead to see how we can offer pupils here access to Classics, still an unfortunate rarity in Scotland.

Time's short for anyone wanting to register on AV2025. For years, we've tried to offer a friendly gateway into anc. languages: taught by experts but with accessibility in mind. We work hard to offer classes that are simply not available in many places. Please consider joining us!
REGISTRATION CLOSING SOON! cas.wp.st-andrews.ac.uk/ancient-voices… A reminder that registration for the 2025 Ancient Voices prog. will close soon. We've been thrilled to receive many enquiries, but encourage folks to sign up ASAP if they want to try out one or more ancient languages in June!
