Will Still confirmed that Jay Robinson is really pushing to start against Wrexham in two weeks. He's certainly #SaintsFC's most exciting left winger.

I'm disappointed that Will Still has kept needing to emphasize the bloatedness of the #SaintsFC squad in his interviews. It would be nice if a few sales could be finalised, it seems he is constantly repeating the same message that these outgoings have got to happen.

What we saw from #SaintsFC today: 💪 Patterns of play emerging ✅️ Robinson should be starting ❌️ Lack of creativity in the squad 💰 A few players need to be sold Overall it was a fairly positive outing, hindered by mistakes from the defence.

Interesting shape when in possession for #SaintsFC. Armstrong inverting to an area that will really suit Tyler Dibling when he comes into the team. Sugawara will benefit from going high. Back three formed with the left back filling in, which suits Welington well. ⬇️

I can see a need for Damion Downs in this system. Archer not good enough in the air, Ross Stewart not mobile enough.

I've been patient with my views on Ben Brereton-Diaz, but I hope that is the last we see of him as a starter.

Watching Leicester's pre-season friendly, they seem similar in ways to Southampton, in that they are very direct, though don't utilise their full backs as much. Without the ball, Leicester are much more patient than the high-pressing Saints, but have their moments!
