#CatChatBookClub @MillieMall This is my book made into a film choice: All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr (2014) Controversially, I watched the film first. It tells the parallel stories of Marie-Laure, a blind French girl who lives with her father in Paris, before
Goodnight friends! Loved #catchatbookclub tonight. Thank you @MillieMall for hosting. Sleep tight. 🐱
@MillieMall #catchatbookclub final offering for the theme. This is “Death of a President” a first edition of the days from assassination to burial of JFK. I think the Oliver Stone Kevin Costner film of the same name referenced it when making the film JFK.

*Loads tea and scones with jam & cream onto #PeaceBus. Checks fuel, gives paintwork a last wipe over with polish. Jumps into driver's seat and sets off to pick up passengers for #Purrs4Peace* We purr in 15 minutes - all welcome to join us!
Jane Austin’s Pride and Prejudice tv mini series….Colin Firth how could I forget. One of my favourite Jane Austin Novels re visited at least once every 2 years, both book and TV. #CatChatBookClub
A favourite author - brilliant & well written. The MC is in a good position at the start of this apocalyptic novel as he’s worked w what he’s facing. Like anyone would be he’s afraid. All it has taken is a simple change to end the world as we know it. #CatChatBookClub #CatsOfX
3. So, I’m sure it won’t surprise you that, overall, we see the book as far superior to the film 😹 The significant changes really diminish the impact of the story This happens so often, doesn’t it? #CatChatBookClub We highly recommend “Chocolat” the novel. You’ll devour it!
Welcome to July 2025 #CatChatBookClub 😺📚 This month, some of us have been reading books made into MOVIES/TV PROGS but we look forward to ALL book-chat & hearing about everyone’s chosen reads, regardless of theme! Just search 🔍 & use club hashtag to join in! Enjoy noms too!
For the #CatChatBookClub “Books which became MOVIES” theme, Mum chose to read “Chocolat” by Joanne Harris, which she enjoyed just as much as a bar of 🍫 itself! 😹 The story was lovely & moving, the characters super. Magical. Good messages to take away from it. (1 of 3…. cont)
And we’re off! Big thanks go to our pals @moggymainecoon for sharing this with #CatChatBookclub 😸
Hi Millie, mum will be late as the football has taken so long. She needs to go and see her Dad after the penalty shootout and won’t back for 8. Here’s Mum’s first choice, The Hobbit. First read in 1977 and she didn’t love it at initially, but she does now! #CatChatBookClub 📚
Hello everyone Ben & I are ready for tea & cake. On theme I listened to Ann Cleeves’ Vera novels while running. I came to Vera via the tv series but love the novels. I read Wild by Cheryl Strayed after watching the film & re-read Jane Austin’s Pride & Prejudice #catchatbookclub📚
Another super reading recommendation from @moggymainecoon #CatChatBookclub 😸
Here’s Mum’s second choice, Murder is Easy by Agatha Christie #CatChatBookClub 📚 Mum hadn’t heard of this novel before. As far as we can see, the only film adaptation is a US version and will look out for it. WOW WOW WOW WOW 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Those girls are AMAZING!
Hi lovely Millie and Mum it is so lovely to be here #CatChatBookClub Tonight I have picked two books and film adaptations which I really enjoyed 💕💕💕The Age Of Innocence by Edith Wharton and Atonement .
#catchatbookclub 1) I don’t watch many movie or tv adaptions of books I’ve read or plan to read because they rarely live up to my imagination of the characters & settings, but I really enjoyed the tv series from the No 1 Ladies Detective Agency.
