Using flood relief as a political bargaining chip, Texas Republicans want to jam racially discriminatory voting maps down our throats. Why? Because Trump said. Meanwhile flood relief is held hostage during hurricane season.

This special session is about one thing and one thing only — racial gerrymandering. Trump has ordered Texas Republicans to illegally redraw the voting maps in his favor and they are wasting no time in taking away your vote and your voice. Texas Democrats must meet this moment.
