A reminder that if/when they successfully land Blue Moon Mk1- it will immediately take the record as the largest craft to ever land on the moon. Beating out the Apollo lunar module, and Mk1 is just the prototype for what’s to come. It is an absolute unit.

We’re roughly 6 months from the soonest possible launch date of Artemis 2- And this stubby punk is still the only part (to my knowledge) not in Florida. It remains one of 2 parts left to be stacked to SLS to finish the vehicle.

@astroferg does awesome work and did an great job capturing these images.
Thoughts on this, it won't matter in the long run, no matter if SLS is or isn't canceled. Still, you'd expect better from such a legacy company with actual decades of data informing this design.
Northrop Grumman's BOLE booster has experienced an anomaly on it's first test fire.
