The final log for the night. Basically, I think I need at least one more watch to both truly find how I feel about the film and feel like I’m not hijacking the film itself to mirror some kind of expectation in my own mind and politics.
So that was…huh. I’ve mentioned before my idea that we are living in a dictatorship of the mediocre. Ordinary people upset that the world does not revolve around them, whose minor inconveniences are used to justify the true horrors of life. I think Ari believes the same.
So after thinking about it on the car ride home, I have come to a conclusion. Eddington is kinda like Megalopolis. It is a big swing I like whose message I felt. I don’t know if all the pieces totally fit together but…I do want more big swings like that. I enjoyed my time.
