I will admit, the fact this is how the UK Online Safety Act got through and this is what's happening as a result makes me worried because this feels like more censorship and the government wanting control of social media by using "It's for the kids" excuse

I agree for the most part, but ya gotta admit that sometimes some fans can be a little too picky and high-maintenance Nothing wrong with wanting good things, but some folks will blow their tops if something is different, and not even necessarily worse in quality

Genuine question, when was the last time Sonic was given a big moment or spotlight on saying some profound or wise words, at least outside of JP only material (Channel stories, Courage Manga). He used to do that a lot, but i’ve noticed he doesn’t do so nearly as often anymore.
Reminder. Sega makes the decisions on IDW Sonic. So for the past 8 YEARS (and counting), they haven’t let ANY writer do what some hate-filled 40 year old claims only one writer is supposed to do. So yes…that guy is wrong. As always.
Just got reminded that I wrote this FOUR YEARS AGO about the potential authoritarian consequences of the then Online Safety Bill (now Act). And oh look, it’s all coming true. What a surprise.
The draft Online Safety Bill simply proposes a ban on 'legal but harmful' content. This extremely vague law, if enacted, could lead to an unprecedented authoritarian crackdown on freedom of expression. However, the bill explicitly exempts content from the UK's mainstream media.
