Time to launch the Twitter account of the AU·SIS research group! We are focused on expanding our knowledge on #autophagy and, specifically, autosis (a unique type of autophagic cell death dependent on the Na+,K+-ATPase pump) in life & disease. So yes, we love autophagosomes! ⭕️

The 1st milestone of our collaboration with @vega_rubin's lab has been completed! Time has flown by, and @SafaLarafa finished her stay with us last week. She has now returned to Germany, along with our own María, to continue our collaboration there. Great initial steps. 🙂

As you all know (and suffer), securing funding for our research is incredibly challenging. That's why I am more than thrilled to share that my project on autosis will be funded by @AgEInves and @CienciaGob for the next two years. Exciting times are ahead for our @AUSISgroup! 🙂
🌐 Today, #WorldCancerDay, @AlvFdezFdez_PhD and María have collaborated with @UOdivulga (@uniovi_info) and @IUOPA in several outreach activities to explain cancer research to the public. 🔬 Cancer is one of our main research lines, and we remain committed to fight this disease.

In our way to Germany! Long day ahead, travelling from Asturias to Essen (@UniklinikEssen). There, we will meet with @vega_rubin and her "Autophagy and cancer" group as we officially start an exciting new collaborative project. More details soon!
