The ongoing oil activities in #MurchsionFallsNP in Uganda has greatly affected tourism industry and increased Human-wildlife conflict in communities around the park in Buliisa district. We demand an end to these activities to save people and nature.

During a learning session we held with communities impacted by oil projects,Locals shared how new people are invading their areas to grab land for oil developments. We empowered them with knowledge on land rights — because no one should lose their home because of development.

(EACOP) poses serious environmental and social risks, including displacement and increased carbon emissions. Activists are urging a shift from fossil fuels to clean energy. It’s time to #StopEACOP and invest in a greener, fairer future.

In an exchange learning that we organized between communities affected by oil projects, one of the outstanding issue coming in is land grabbing! Communities say more people have come into their area to grab their land due to oil developments. We empowered them about land rights.
