All Saints Catholic College is an 11-16 voluntary aided school. We encourage students to flourish through learning whilst loving and serving God and each other.
Year 9 have been building towers as part of developing ideas around the scientific method. They have made initial designs and then developed and tested them.

Our knights in training explored the realm of Narnia on a walk in the countryside! 🙂 There were many things to keep an eye out for including Geraldine the cow, evil sheep and glittery cow pats (they’re the most evil!) 😆🤩 @ASCHC_COLLEGE @beckets_bkcat @StWilfridsCHS
This week we celebrated the end of the G.R.I.T Course at Huddersfield Fire Station. A group of Year 7 & 8 students have been attending for the last 9 weeks, learning new skills. They showcased their skills in front of Parents and Carers, A massive WELL DONE to everyone.



Today Years 9 and 10 have been on a rewards trip to Flamingo Land. A fun day has been had enjoying the rides and seeing all of the animals.

On Friday members of our school band took part in the Modulo Meet organised by Orchestras for All at The Glasshouse International Centre for Music in Gateshead. Our students worked with professional musicians alongside other schools to rehearse and perform 4 pieces of music.



Today a group of Year 7 and 8 students were chosen to celebrate their reading success. We’ve enjoyed sweet treats, a library scavenger hunt and time to create our own personalised bookmarks! One lucky student won a £20 Waterstones voucher. Happy reading.

Yesterday Years 7 and 8 went on a rewards trip to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park. An exciting day was had exploring and observing the exotic animals. The Meerkats were a fan favourite.



In science this week the year 6 transition students were given the very important task of discovering who stole the science departments biscuits. To do this they used their new skills of chromatography and pH testing to learn the identity of the biscuit stealing mastermind!

In DT the Yr 6 transition students produced some great fabric badges for the Year of Jubilee “Pilgrims of Hope” focusing on how the doors we can open in our every day lives can be holy doors of hope.

Our transition students spent time with Our Lay Chaplain creating freeze frames based on Catholic Social Teaching learning how important it is to care for each other and all of God's creation.

This afternoon Year 6 students received a preview of the rock bands performance for the Celebration of the Arts evening taking place today.

Year 7 are learning about kinetic energy. By timing how long it takes for a toy car to travel down the ramp when placed at different hights, they can use their maths skills to calculate how much energy the car has.

Mrs Pickles is ready to welcome our visiting year 6 students to the first day of Transition Week we have a fantastic schedule planned for them all.

Today a group of year seven students travelled to Bradford to the STEM Fest event. The group are learning about careers in Engineering, Science, Maths and Technology in Yorkshire by taking part in fun and interesting activities.

Well done to St John Fisher for their Feast day mass. What a fantastic celebration for the community.
