Anti Police-Terror Project
@APTPaction
Anti Police-Terror Project is building a replicable and sustainable model to end state-sanctioned murder and violence against Black, Brown, and poor people.
Well, what do you know—crime is down with fewer officers. The data is clear: we don’t need more cops draining the city budget and driving Oakland into bankruptcy. We need real investment in community, not bloated police budgets. #PeopleOverPolice #OaklandBudget
Crime in Oakland is down, police department says. Homicides are down 24 percent this year compared to 2024, reported robberies are down 42 percent, and reported burglaries are down 24 percent. localnewsmatters.org/2025/07/22/cri…
Worth noting, despite the campaign to refund the Cultural Affairs Manager position comprising nearly every major local arts organization and principal, Janani Ramachandran never acknowledged a single comment at dais, nor commented on the decision. It's wild, no media scrutiny
The Culture Wins! Check out our press release celebrating the restoration of Oakland’s Arts & Culture Manager position — a major victory for our communities, creatives, and cultural workers. When we organize, we win. #OaklandArts #APTP #OrganizeToWin #CommunityVictory

33 months. That’s what Breonna Taylor’s life was worth to this system. Not one officer has been held accountable for her death. This wasn’t justice—it was protection, once again, for police who kill with impunity. We don’t forget. We don’t stop. #JusticeForBreonna #SayHerName
BREAKING: Brett Hankison has been sentenced to 33 months in prison and 3 years of supervised release for violating Breonna Taylor’s civil rights during the no-knock raid that ended her life. Hankison is the only officer convicted in connection with the raid that killed Breonna.
VICTORY: The Arts & Culture Manager position in Oakland is officially RESTORED. This is what happens when community organizes, shows up, and refuses to be erased. ✊🏾 Huge thanks to CM Fife, @KevChoice, and Oakland’s arts sector for fighting and winning. By us. For us.
Where is the accountability on this @MajorDF1884. Is it common practice for your spokespeople to use the n-word like this?
First of all, this isn’t Cat. I’m a Black man & let me be clear: you, a white man, publicly saying you’re going to start calling people the N-word is not a joke, not a meme, & not about Elmo. It’s racist. & it has everything to do with your hatred for the left and Black people.

Mayor of San Francisco Lurie and the Board of Supervisors gave the Salvation Army millions of public Dollars using TWOLF as a PR Racist 🤡🤡🫠 Y’all are Racist & you’ve Finally come out loud with your Racist Feelings Why would a White Man Like TWOLF want to USE the N Word 🤡👇🏾
A white man close to SF Mayor Lurie @sfgov is out here publicly laughing about calling people the "n word" on this app—and daring us to do something about it. Let’s be real: this ain’t a joke. This is white supremacy in broad daylight.
We just rang the alarm last week warning that OPD would share surveillance data with ICE. What do you know? We were right! OPD is already breaking state law and handing over license plate data to federal agencies—including in an ICE case. This is why we don’t trust them.
SCOOP: San Francisco and Oakland police appear to have repeatedly broken state law by sharing data from automated license plate cameras with federal law enforcement. In one instance, OPD fulfilled a request related to an ICE case. sfstandard.com/2025/07/14/oak…

Any professionals in the journo world, or journo profs, please tell me how this is not one of the biggest news stories of the month?
As a long-awaited study of potential IAB to CPRA transfer completes, OPD brass admitted to the court monitor that Internal Affairs may be incapable of policing OPD in aftermath of Phong Tran failures that cost nearly the entire command staff their jobs oakland-observer.ghost.io/at-council-thi…
Oakland eliminates top arts position to save $300K. Critics say it’s a mistake sfchronicle.com/entertainment/…
Oakland wants to expand OPD’s surveillance network—and we’re supposed to trust they won’t share data with ICE? We don’t. With immigration raids happening daily, we believe these cameras will become a pipeline to ICE. oaklandside.org/2025/07/07/oak…
