#OnThisDay in 1871, Thomas “Tad” Lincoln died at just 18. Known for his playful White House antics, Tad was fascinated by the military and often dressed in a U.S. soldier’s uniform. His portrait by Dane Lindley, based on a photo by Alexander Gardner, is now on display at #ALPLM.
