I was raised to be polite and respectful. I also reserve the right to answer an impolite and disrespectful fool according to his folly as the need requires. Let the reader understand.
Takes like this frankly annoy the living daylights out of me because usually it's filks who didn't grow up in that kind of theology who makes such ridiculous takes. Put their music in the trash along with the theology that birthed it.

Game-changer if true. (It is.)
No. We don’t need another Pentecost anymore than we need another incarnation, atonement, resurrection, or ascension of Christ. Pentecost was a once-and-for-all, unrepeatable, redemptive-historical event. For more, see here: logos.com/grow/min-bapti…
This quote is straight 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Acceptable worship is impossible without preaching. For preaching is making known the name of the Lord, and worship is praising the name of the Lord made known." -John Stott
There's one lesson everyone has seemingly missed in considering the legacies of R.C. Sproul and John MacArthur: How to disagree with brothers in Christ over doctrine and practice, yet still love one another dearly, even joking about differences with grace and humility.
Your music should match your theology on every level: content, style, selections, tone. A church with sound doctrine picking songs by aberrant writers/singers shows a lack of thought about consistency and probably means you're inconsistent elsewhere.

In part, theological internet discourse is more contentious than in person because good fences make good neighbors, and the internet undermines this.
Theology 101: Divide the years of true spiritual revival and awakening by 2000 years of church history, and they account for maybe 1% of Christian experience. Focus your ministry of faithful word and sacrament for the 99% of the normal church experience.

Its troubling that people who leave and complain about a church’s faults/weaknesses rarely have the common sense or virtue to examine their own lives and consider what the church could say about them if it so wished. For, “We all stumble in many ways.”
You can quit looking for the perfect church. It doesn’t exist. And how would you feel, anyway, if churches were only looking for perfect people?

Be they celebrity preachers or celebrity professors, they're still dispensable. Now...the local church. Yeah, that's where it's ultimately at.
