Just thinking of the conversation over a pint with Diane and friends from Wave of Nostalgia in Haworth when I said "Lord my memory, who wrote Hamnet?" and they thought for a good ten minutes I'd forgotten who Shakespeare was. 😆 My memory is woeful but... not that bad.

For the first time in my life I was able to find a book by myself in the London Library. Unfortunately it's Jack Kerouac's On The Road. Utterly awful, dreadful, bore of a book, I've not suffered it since uni and it has not improved in the interim. Still, useful for research.
I finally gave in and decided to try barefoot trainers. I'm hopeful...

For those asking, here is the recipe for 'lemon surprise', from my mum's cookery book which (new information) came free with her 'Thorn' cooker in 1980. The secret, says mum, is not to knock the air out when mixing the egg with the the mixture! And don't forget the lemons.🍋😲
