Mets signed their fourth-round draft pick Peter Kussow for $897,500, league sources said. The slot value for the pick is $555,800. Kussow, a RHP, was a Louisville commit and the top-rated prep player from Wisconsin.

Up 15 at half and a 14-0 run start the 2nd was the end for Verona. @arrowheadgirlBB wins the sectional semifinal 83-58. All 5 starters were in double figures. Kussow had 28, Klems 14, Kescenovitz & Zehner 13 each, Samz 11. 1 game from a return to state. Sectional final Saturday.

LETS GO HAWKS! #1 seed and defending state champions @arrowheadgirlBB set to tussle with #4 seed Verona in the sectional round for the 2nd year in a row. Last year the Warhawks downed an undefeated Wildcats team in the sectional semifinal. Can't let 'em get revenge tonight.
