Iowa AG Brenna Bird
@AGIowa
Attorney General of Iowa. Former County Attorney. Protecting Victims, Supporting Law Enforcement, and Defending Iowans’ Freedoms.
🚨BREAKING: the Court just upheld that only American citizens can vote in Iowa elections. I was glad to lead the fight defending our election integrity laws. This victory guarantees all Iowans that their votes will count & not be canceled out by illegal votes.
Great discussion with Black Hawk County Sheriff and the chiefs of Waterloo and Cedar Falls about current events in our state and country, the successful passage of our assault on law officers law and our cold case unit. Sincere thanks to them for keeping us safe!
The women whose athletic titles and records were given to men deserve justice.

Our summer interns bring great energy and fresh perspective to our office. I enjoyed sitting down with a group of them over lunch to hear about their goals and answer their questions.

Thank you @POTUS for inviting me to the signing of the HALT Fentanyl Act today and fighting for American families! This law is vital to ending the fentanyl crisis in our communities, and I am grateful to have been a part of this pivotal moment.
Yesterday’s meeting at Manchester Regional Hospital was productive and insightful. I’m thankful for the nurses and health care professionals who took time out of their day to tell me about their work and how my office can better support them.

Enjoyed my visit to Xpedition Archery in Winneshiek County today. They’re a great asset to Iowa’s hunting and archery industry!

Thank you to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department for hosting this morning’s victim services roundtable! It was a productive visit, and I appreciated the opportunity to hear directly how my office can better support victims across the state.

Excited to represent my office and the important work we do at the Ankeny Summerfest parade this morning!

States like Iowa and Florida should be able to partner with the federal government to handle immigration crimes.

The images and stories of the flooding in Central Texas are heartbreaking. Bob and I are praying for those who have lost or are missing loved ones. Our grateful hearts go out to the first responders, Coast Guardsmen, and everyday Texans who are aiding in the rescue and recovery.
I will continue to fight for our producers and farmers…just as I did with this case and Massachusetts Question 3. States like California and Massachusetts should not dictate lowa farming practices.

Thank you @IAGovernor for leading Iowa’s stand against antisemitism!
Antisemitism has no place in Iowa. In my 13th Executive Order as governor, I reiterated Iowa’s support of the Jewish community and our commitment to protecting Jewish students on college campuses.
“One judge should not be setting immigration policy for the whole country…President Trump properly used his authority under federal law to keep…foreign tourists—including from China—from being rewarded with anchor babies.”

Bob and I are saddened to hear of the passing of State Senator Rocky De Witt. Senator De Witt was a kind man who loved his community-- a true patriot. Bob and I are praying for his family tonight.
