I am going to court to defend the ACA from Donald Trump’s latest attack. I will not stand back and allow the Trump regime to kick almost 2 million Americans off their health insurance and raise costs for millions more families.

Donald Trump and his administration would rather fund tax cuts for billionaires than help protect the American people from floods, wildfires, and other natural disasters. Preparing for natural disasters ahead of time doesn’t just save money and property, it saves lives.

Machine guns have no place on our streets, nor do devices that turn semi-automatic firearms into machine guns. By making firearms far more deadly, these devices threaten the safety of both the public and members of law enforcement.

Trump’s Department of Education is pulling the rug out from under MN students by cutting school funding without warning. I will not allow him and his cronies to illegally slash education grants to fund tax breaks for billionaires, so I’m taking them to court.

In America, we believe that nobody is above the law, including those who enforce it. Today, I am asking the court to bring an end to President Trump and his administration’s violations of the Constitution and the civil rights of the people of Los Angeles.

Today is the 160th anniversary of Juneteenth. As we celebrate, let’s connect our history to the present moment. MN has repeatedly led in the fight for civil rights & we have some of the largest racial disparities in the US. We must celebrate our accomplishments and go further.
