Trump breaks with Putin. But will it last? @dmarusic, @MaxBoot and @AEI's Kori Schake discuss: wapo.st/4lXhbzH
Nobody recognizes the power of conspiracy theories more than President Trump does. Now that power is working against him. @PostOpinions LINK-->
With the Houthis again threatening Americans and attacking Israel and international shipping, US policy toward Yemen needs a reset, @mrubin1971 argues. "Yemen will only be stable when Yemenis from any particular province or region govern themselves." washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/beltwa…
The US-brokered peace agreement between the DRC and Rwanda could lead to historic US investment in critical minerals in the region and reduce violence in the DRC. More from CTP's .@liam_karr and .@yale0214: thehill.com/opinion/intern… criticalthreats.org/analysis/us-dr…
Hardcovers have arrived! The attempt to memory hole 2020 has been something to see. Four years ago, I set out to write an honest account of the ideological convulsions that have beset American society from the election of the first black president in 2008 to the reelection of…
AEI's @MichaelRStrain: Firing Powell would be a huge mistake on the merits – and it would increase interest rates at a time Trump wants to see them lowered. project-syndicate.org/commentary/tru…
Newest edition to the purse. Grateful for the important work @NaomiSRiley & @slsatel do. @AEI
Scoring own-goals has become a theme of Trump’s presidency. By undermining the independence of the Fed, the president would increase expected future inflation and the term premium — and, therefore, longer-term interest rates. By me, in the @FT. ft.com/content/8882bc…

The Fed’s independence has been one of the most important & stabilizing developments in economic policy. Perhaps more importantly for the President, undermining the Fed’s independence would hurt his own economic and political goals. My @ProSyn column. project-syndicate.org/commentary/tru…

For most Americans, women are only slightly more likely than men to say that at least some of their friends are Democrats. For young adults, the gap is much more substantial.

NEW | The Kremlin will likely capitalize on recent US cuts to media funding in Africa as Russia continues to expand its media presence on the continent. Russia’s media ecosystem in Africa supports Russia’s strategic effort to supplant the United States & its allies in Africa. 🧵
@HUDgov just scrapped key PAVE policies—finally following the @AEI data. Flawed studies ignored socioeconomic drivers, not race, behind differences in valuation and appraisal gaps. This rollback is a win for evidence-based housing policy.
The PAVE task force exemplified government overreach by increasing bureaucracy aimed at addressing so-called systemic biases in the home appraisal process. We disbanded the PAVE task force to cut unnecessary red tape and refocus FHA efforts on serving all Americans.
Far more liberal women than liberal men feel devalued because of their gender. Among conservatives, the gap flips, with more conservative men than women feeling that society values them less because of their gender.
