ACP Oklahoma worked with a local community outreach center to help with distributing clothing and other essentials to those in need. Afterward, members cleaned up trash littered throughout a local park following social media reports expressing concerns about the park's upkeep.
ACP Washington joined the picket line with striking workers against Republic Services led by Teamsters Local 252. Members grilled food for the strikers, held up scabs and stood in solidarity with workers who want a fair contract and compensation equal to the surrounding industry.
ACP’s Maryland and Virginia chapters have returned to clean up Anacostia Park. While DC’s government pours money elsewhere, too many public areas here have been allowed to become overrun with trash, depriving local residents. We believe these spaces must be maintained for all.
