ACAD postdoc Yassine Souilmi gave a wonderful #PintOfScience talk on #Dingoes last night to a very engaged and inquisitive audience

EVENT: 'Dingo DNA to Sheep Smarts' @pintofscienceAU Explore the history of dingos through ancient DNA and the truth behind how clever sheep are! 🧠 🍻 + 🔬 - what a combo! 📅 13 May ⏰7pm 💲 $8 📍 Wheatsheaf Hotel, Thebarton pintofscience.com.au/event/dingo-dn… @ACAD_Research_
Congratulations to PhD candidate Tessa Manning on her phascogale sperm storage publication in Australian Mammalogy doi.org/10.1071/AM24021
If you watch closely, you might spot ACAD PhD candidate @sobekthebatman
Celebrate Wombat Day with some BTS science! 👩🔬✂💈 By non-invasively collecting a tiny samples of fur from critically endangered Northern Hairy-nosed Wombat burrows at RUNR, we gather vital DNA information about the population's health. More 👉 bit.ly/NHNW-DNA
Thanks to @agtaGenomics for organising a great conference. Thanks to @ronin_cloud for sponsoring our PhD student @shyama_mama. He had a great time presenting about ancient DNA and a method to reduce DNA contamination. Congrats for best student presentation! #agta2024

Massive congratulations to @CaitlinMudge522 for giving her PhD completion seminar to the EEB crowd! It was amazing to hear all about the amazing work she has been doing within the ancient DNA field during the last few years 🎉 #aDNA #Australianmammals #quaternaryperiod

One of our very own will be speaking about her journey in science! Be sure to come along if you can, it should be a great event🧬
Mark your calendar as we eagerly await for our next panel event. Join us as we welcome four professional women in STEM share their journeys in science and answer all your questions. Afterwards, we will be serving food at the UniBar as an opportunity for networking.
Bringing you the 3rd series of HAAM-Radio Webinar! This time we’ll talk about Southeast Asian and Oceanian population. Don’t forget to register yourself to receive the zoom link.

Congratulations to Thom Harvey on a stellar CCSP talk about his work in "Reconstructing pre-European mammalian and plant diversity in central and western New South Wales to inform conservation management" using sedimentary DNA. He is supervised by Jamie Wood and Damien Fordham.

We are currently advertising two fully-funded PhD scholarships to reconstruct Australia’s pre-European mammal communities using ancient sedimentary and bulk-bone DNA. For further details, please see: lnkd.in/eBC_kpS9
