We now only lack the introduction and Jeff Gordon’s foreword for the book. Both will be completed shortly. I have personally selected all of the photos. I have dug deep into the archives of various photographers and have picked out some amazing shots.
So all the talk yesterday got me to thinking. Just how bad ass is @markmartin ? The only driver I know of to have a chassis named after him. That's how fucking bad ass he is.
I’ve always felt like Tommy Lee Jones or maybe Robert Duvall could have played my grandfather Julian in a film. I hope people who read dad’s book get a sense of the epic character he was. He was a local legend in our part of Arkansas and passed down his love of speed to dad.

Always get a strange feeling when I see footage or photos of these cars sitting next to each other in the shop. It is like it’s a memory, but it’s so hazy that it almost feels like it’s from a dream. When I was very young, dad took me a few times to this shop to see these cars.

The early Roush haulers did not have a lounge in them. They had a machine shop instead. Dad talks some about this in his book we’re finishing up.
Been trying to find photos of the lounge areas of the haulers during this time. Were they really lounge areas to relax, because now all they seem to be are office areas for engineers
